corbeau A4 seats

Corbeau brackets and slider rails

The driver side bracket seems to work OK, but the passenger side does not.

these just show details of the steel plate I cut and drilled to adapt to the stock rails.

these are the images and notes I sent to Corbeau in an attempt to get a new bracket.

I have been in email contact with someone there but no resolution yet.

They received these around 12/7/01

update 3/14/02 -have sent a few more emails back and forth - they are still working on things, apparently...

Since this was kind of an experiment, and since the seat mounts are not symmetrical on both sides of the car (ie measurements from one side don't necessarily apply to the other) there are a few "extra" holes here and there in the steel plates. Think of them as a weight-saving strategy...

At first I thought the bracket simply had the "front" sticker on the wrong side; if I rotate the bracket 180 degrees all the holes line up with those in the floor. But then the seat mount is offset to the wrong direction and the seat hits the car door, not allowing it to close. So the seat needs to be pushed toward the inside of the car.

How it should be...

A couple of steel pieces could be cut and drilled to accomplish this fairly easily.

The tabs on both of the covers for the reclining mechanism have cracked or broken.

They still stay in place with the single screw, but they will "flop" if you pull on them. So don't pull on them. ;)

Seriously, they are pretty well out of the way so this isn't too big an issue. Some glue might help matters here.

I sent these images to Corbeau as well to see if I could get them replaced.
